BioShock Elizabeth Cosplay Looks Amazing in This Underwater Photoshoot

This unique cosplay of Elizabeth from BioShock takes us on an underwater adventure.

In December last year, BioShock fans could finally breathe a sigh of relief as 2K announced that they are bringing a brand new entry in the Bioshock franchise. After over six years of inactivity, it was confirmed that the next adventure into the BioShock universe would see “a new and fantastical world.” and also under a new development studio named Cloud Chamber. In an article by Metro, BioShock 4 doesn’t seem like it will be set in Rapture or Columbia according to a new job advertisement so until we know more about the development of the game, here is a wonderfully aquatic Elizabeth from BioShock cosplay unlike anything you’ve never seen before.

If you happen to not know a lot about the BioShock world or need a little refresher, it all began in 2007 by 2K Boston who incorporated ideas by dystopian and utopian minds such as Ayn Rand, George Orwell, and Aldous Huxley. The game is also considered a spiritual successor to the System Shock series. The entirety of BioShock is set in the 1960s where players take control of Jack after his plane crashes which then follows him to the underwater city of Rapture. Throughout the game, the player is asked to approach different situations with stealth, as well as moral choices of saving or killing characters. In the third title in the BioShock series, BioShock Infinite, is where we meet Elizabeth (also known as Anna DeWitt) who has been imprisoned in the flying city of Columbia by a winged monster since she was an infant and she’s also the deuteragonist of the game alongside Booker DeWitt voiced by Troy Baker.

Ukrainian cosplayer Sasha, also known as k_o_n_a on Instagram, has gone the extra mile in her Elizabeth attire by completely submerging herself underwater to perfect the ultimate photoshoot. Having planned the photoshoot in March and waiting for the studio to then open due to COVID-19 restrictions, Sasha was ready to get to the action. She first had the idea to do an underwater cosplay when she saw an advert on Instagram showcasing the pool which sparked the entire concept and then creating the outfit by using a white corset and a blue skirt, she was ready to take the plunge. Due to the expensive nature of hiring out this particular studio, one of Sasha’s followers helped pay the fee and from there, all she needed was the assistance of a great photographer and some water-proof makeup.

Thankfully, Sasha was in good hands with makeup artist julchen_makeup and the incredible photographer mila_rybchenko who all came together to create Sasha’s on point Elizabeth cosplay. Wanting to look her best in the water, Sasha’s make up had to be applied pretty heavily, so heavily in fact that three days later she was still trying to remove it but I think it’s safe to say that it was all worth it to just get these incredible shots. The idea of spending time underwater for a prolonged period of time doesn’t sit too well with me but for Sasha, it was a walk in the park. Chatting on her post on Reddit, she commented saying that being underwater wasn’t “uncomfortable at all! 😀 except for the wig!”.

You can check Sasha out on many platforms that include Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok.

While we may be a while from actually playing the new and upcoming BioShock,  BioShock: The Collection made its arrival onto the Nintendo Switch earlier this year which might keep players busy until we all know more about the fourth installment. As always, when there is any further news or developments, DualShockers will bring you all the juice so keep your eyes peeled.
