BioWare Releases Two Major Updates for Mass Effect 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic

on June 26, 2012 5:22 PM

Today was a day of updates for BioWare as they released two major updates today for two separate games, Mass Effect 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Fans of both games were up early today, waiting for the two very anticipated patches to become available for download. The first was for Mass Effect 3, as Xbox 360 players got a taste of the new Extended Cut ending first. Soon after, the PC and PlayStation 3 updates became available. The longer ending adds a few new pieces of dialog and extends the original ending with extra cutscenes. Not long after release, videos of the new content were already being posted on and talked about throughout the internet.

In the MMORPG world, Star Wars: The Old Republic got updated with patch 1.3 called Allies. Several changes were made to the game, including the addition of a Looking For Group tool and adaptable social gear. These changes allow for players to have a more customized look if they no longer wish to wear some of the set gear pieces, especially for end-game. Those who tested on the Public Test Server were also gifted with a new title as special thanks.

More information for each update can be found here and here.
