Bit.Trip RUNNER Now Available on Steam With New AWESOME Features

Apparently putting Bit.Trip BEAT on Steam was a big success for Gaijin Games, as their most popular (and I think best) game of the Bit.Trip series, RUNNER, hits the Steam marketplace today. In addition to HD graphics, the PC (and Mac, for those wondering) version will also include achievements, online leaderboards, and new difficulty levels.

Considering RUNNER got ridiculously insane in the last few levels, even for a 1337 pr0 gamer like me, I can’t even imagine the special kind of hell the new difficulty modes will present. It’s still worth a double-dip for me though, and for those of you new to the game, you should be excited. Not only is it arguably the best rhythm-based platformer, it was also one of the best indie games of last year; suffice to say, it’s a must-own.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
