While the excitement of the holiday rush is over with new releases and the next-gen launches behind us, game developer/media-focused events will be taking the spotlight for the next few months, with the Japan-based BitSummit as no exception.

BitSummit MMXIV has announced that registrations for the event, a conference for independent game developers that takes place in Japan, have now officially opened and will be available for game developers to register and attend until February 7th. While international developers are encouraged to attend, the organizers do provide warning that game debs based in Japan will be given priority for registration, if attendance fills up very quickly. Other than that, there is no fee for applying to register, or for holding a booth space.

BitSummit MMXIV will be taking place this spring, from March 7th-9th, 2014 in Kyoto, Japan: you can check out the BitSummit site for details on registering as a game developer attending the event.
