Black Desert Online is a Korean MMORPG, but it's actually quite popular in Japan, especially due to its gorgeous visuals that appeal to the local audience quite nicely.

In order to advertise the upcoming Margoria ocean update, that will make the already massive world of the game even bigger, and that will come soon in the west as well, the local publisher Pmang created a series of TV commercials that are delightfully Japanese.

They play on the "update" word bringing up a "date" theme, and a Japanese drama atmosphere, on top of showing a bit more of the upcoming update.

Incidentally, the Japanese servers are also getting a classic fundoshi (loincloth) costume. How cool is that?

In the meanwhile, Black Desert just received the Musa and Maehwa awakenings in the west, while recently developer Pearl Abyss announced a tech partnership with the Japanese developer Silicon Studio to improve the game’s already gorgeous graphics further.
