If you're excited about getting your hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout Beta Treyarch has a bit of a surprise for you. After a week of reveals, today, the developer activated the preview one hour ahead of when it was actually scheduled to go up.

Of course, this only applies to PlayStation 4 players, that beta was the only one scheduled to go live today. Xbox One and PC players will have to wait until this Friday in order to get their hands on it.

For those that don't know, Blackout is Black Ops 4's Battle Royale mode. In it, 80 players drop into a world filled with locations and maps from the series' previous entries and fight to see who's number one.

In other Blackout news, a few days ago the mode's full map was revealed, and shortly after that, we got the first trailer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to launch on October 12, 2018. If you want to pre-order the game on Amazon, you can do so by clicking here.
