Double XP and New Game Mode Coming to Black Ops 4 This Friday
Treyarch has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be getting a new double XP weekend and a new game mode on Friday.
Treyarch has decided to cap off their week-long content fest with a bang, to say the least. After adding in new maps, modes, and characters to the game earlier on Tuesday, the developer has announced that a double XP weekend will go live tomorrow, December 14, 2018.
Until presumably Monday, double XP will be active in both multiplayer and Zombies modes, while Blackout will receive a double Merit weekend considering they don’t have XP. Just as a reminder, this will only help in the traditional XP sense and will NOT help you progress in your Contraband system in any way, but beggars can’t be choosers, so this is definitely a nice surprise.
In addition, the Close Quarters Frenzy mode from the beta will be joining the Blackout mode starting tomorrow. In this version of the battle royale mode, only close quarters weapons like shotguns, pistols, and submachine guns will spawn into the world, all with the circle collapsing at a faster rate than normal. Of course, if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, you can always just play the standard modes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on Amazon by clicking here and is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
Surprise! Starting tomorrow at 10AM PT, we’re kicking off the holiday season right all weekend long in #BlackOps4:
• 2XP in MP and Zombies
• 2X Merits in Blackout
• Close Quarters Frenzy in Blackout!
