Well, well, well, it's been quite a long time since I and the rest of the world heard the phrase "The Replacer" from Call of Duty, but nevertheless, here we are. After going without one of the iconic commercials since 2016, it seems like Activision and Treyarch will finally be releasing a new "The Replacer" trailer next week to celebrate the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's upcoming DLC and in-game update.

Of course, details are scarce about the trailer. Aside from the fact that it's coming on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, we don't really know anything. Technically the trailer isn't even officially confirmed, as it was originally leaked by a Twitter user by the name of Stormare. That being said, a few hours after the information leaked, Matt Scronce, a senior game designer at Treyarch, liked the tweet, all but confirming that it was real.

For those that don't know, The Replacers were a series of commercials produced for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's content season and one of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's DLC packs, starring Peter Stormare. In it, the Replacer would talk about each DLC pack for the game before showing viewers the many different personas he can don in order to replace people in everyday life so that they can play more Call of Duty. There were funnier than they deserved to be, so the fact that they are coming back is great.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
