Black Rock Shooter RPG in the Works

Black Rock Shooter is an anime that ran later last year and early this year, which incorporates a story of friendship and revenge into a rather stylistic fighting extravaganza. It has a crazy story that would likely fit right in with the JRPG genre of games, and it looks like that is the way things are heading.

A teaser site was launched over the weekend for the game, which contains a short video and the phrase, “In 2032 A.D., all of humanity is in peril. Before she awakens, she becomes RPG.” I’m not sure what the last part of that means, but I guess it pertains to the fact that this anime is being developed as an RPG now. We don’t know exactly who is developing or publishing it, or, really, what type of RPG it will be, other than the Japanese type. Shooter? Action? Turn-based? We don’t know.

Some thing that it is the RPG that Imageepoch is working on presently, which hasn’t been announced yet. On the other hand, some believe it is being developed by the firm that belongs to the producer and creative director of Valkyria Chronicles II, as well as Persona 3 and 4. If that’s the case, this should be a very awesome RPG indeed. Let’s hope for more details soon. In the meantime, you can check out the video below and wonder about the possibilities.
