Blackwood Crossing Launches With New Screenshots and Trailer Showing Very Emotional Adventure
Paper Seven released new screenshots and a trailer to celebrate the launch of their first game Blackwood Crossing, available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox one, coming to PC on April 5.
The trailer shows off story gameplay as well as some of the puzzles that players will encounter through the story-driven adventure game. Additionally, the screenshots provide a look at the different environments that the player will be able to explore during the story.
Blackwood Crossing tells the story of two orphaned siblings, Scarlett and Finn, as Scarlett enters adolescence. After happening on what is assumed to be an ordinary train, the two find themselves in a magical world in which the player assumes the role of Scarlett to discover the surroundings with Finn.
The developer details the premise further:
You wake up, disorientated, to find yourself and your younger brother, Finn, inexplicably travelling on a moving train.
But when a mysterious figure appears, it’s clear that this is no ordinary train ride. It’s the beginning of a magical voyage, steeped in life, love and loss.
Navigating this powerful drama – where the world, and your abilities develop in extraordinary ways – you are forced to examine your relationship with Finn. You are orphans, and your relationship has always been strong. However, adolescence has opened the door to new interests, and you’ve been growing apart.
As you gradually uncover the depths of Finn’s anguish, the consequences of your remoteness become shockingly clear.
Blackwood Crossing is priced at $15.99 in North America and £12.99 / €15.99 in UK and Europe.
