New Blair Witch Gameplay Trailer Presents a Terrifying Forest While Exploring with Your Dog

In this new Blair Witch trailer, you get to witness how your best dog buddy Bullet can help you progress through-out your gaming experience

Earlier this year at E3 Bloober Team and Lionsgate Games made a surprise announcement when they showcased their latest title Blair Witch in the form of a rather creepy trailer. If you have seen the cult 1999 horror film The Blair Witch Project, then you’ll be familiar with what kind of weird and scary stuff is in store for you. Since the team on Blair Witch are also the same folk who developed Layers of Fear, at least you’ll know you’re in for some jumpy moments.

In this latest gameplay trailer, we can see ex-policeman Ellis walking through a dark and menacing forest with his dog Bullet. But this is no ordinary stroll as Ellis and his canine companion are on the hunt for a missing child. The trailer also shows that by using the in-game wheel you can get Bullet to sniff and track scents, get things from tight spaces, and also make you aware of anything lurking in the shadows who want to do you both harm.

Players will also get a deeper insight into Ellis’ state of mind as the investigation starts to have a profound psychological effect on him as things just to get more and more strange the further he explores into the woods. Thankfully, you and Bullet arent completely alone thanks to a walkie-talkie to communicate with the outside world. A camcorder can also be used to solve puzzles and use the rewind feature to help fix any problems you encounter.

Adding a pet to any game makes it a lot more intense as not only do you have to personally stay alive, but you also don’t want your loyal buddy to come to any harm. Do not let this dog die! You can check out the trailer below:

Blair Witch is coming to PC and Xbox One on August 30. The game will launch on Xbox Game Pass that same day.
