Inti Creates released a new update for the Switch version of 2D action game, Blaster Master Zero, available now, the game is also available on 3DS.

This free update, which brings the game to Version 1.5, adds "Blaster Battle Mode" to the game's options. This is where two players can choose a character, Jason or any extra characters that have been acquired, and battle it out on a map.

Both of the game's visual styles, side-scrolling and overhead, will have maps which changes the battle dramatically. In the new trailer we see Shovel Knight digging his way through portions of the side-scrolling map, which looks rather cool.

Blaster Master Zero is a reboot of the classic Blaster Master series  the game features new game mechanics, updated UI, and graphics, yet the game still retains that classic retro gameplay that players remember. Additionally, by purchasing the DLC characters, players can play through the campaign in different ways, using new skills.

We recently caught up with Inti Creates to test out another one of their newest games Gal*Gun 2, with a preview of the gameplay.
