At the end of CEO 2021 on December 5 PST, Arc System Works announced Blazblue Central Fiction on PC via Steam and Blazblue Cross Tag Battle (BBTAG) on PS4 and Steam will both get Rollback Netcode updates.

The Blazblue series, with its pretty high-level, complex characters and mechanics, is still highly popular to this day. Initially launched by Arcsys in 2008 as it couldn't make a new Guilty Gear yet, BlazBlue managed to stand on its own and become an iconic 2D fighter series. Players have been honing their skills and competing with each other on the latest version, Central Fiction, out since 2015.

Now, by adding rollback netcode, BlazBlue joins the ranks of other 2D gameplay fighting games like KOF 15, Melty Blood and Guilty Gear. GG Xrd and Granblue Fantasy Versus are sadly missing form the list, though something for Granblue might get announced at the Granblue FES on December 11-12.
