The newest issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed that Arc System Works is indeed crafting a PlayStation 3 version of their newly revealed anime fighter BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. Interestingly, the magazine makes no mention of an Xbox 360 version of the game. This is peculiar as all console BlazBlue games have been multiplatform. Maybe that's about to change.

This home version of the game is approximately 30% complete so far. The developers plan to add more new mechanics to the game system to keep players on their toes. There's also a mention of a new story mode, which supports the idea that this is a full sequel and not just an update. The arcade version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma is due in Japanese arcades this Winter. There is no release window available yet for the PS3 version.

Virtually all BlazBlue games have been localized for international release, so North American fans will most likely get their claws on the game sometime in the future. If and when the game does hit our shores, I'd be surprised if it was still PS3 exclusive.
