BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II Plus Dated for Japan

August 25, 2011

The next entry in the adored cult fighting series BlazBlue has received a Japanese release window. Continuum Shift II Plus will expand on Continuum Shift the same way Continuum Shift expanded on Calamity Trigger; with new characters, new stories, new game modes and new general awesomeness. This week’s issue of Famitsu revealed that the game would strike at the Japanese PlayStation Vita this Winter. This suggests an early 2012 release date for North American territories, though this will obviously have to sync up with the NA launch of the PS Vita itself.

Lastly, Famitsu also mentions that BB:CS+ will be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, though exactly how this will be done isn’t clear. Will they release big fat DLC Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition style? Or perhaps they’ll design another box like they did for both BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift? What’s your preference?
