Written and illustrated by Tite Kubo, Bleach is a top-rated Japanese manga series. The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from August 2001 to August 2016.

In a few days, the entire community would celebrate the 20th anniversary of this legendary manga. To add to the excitement, the creators confirmed that Bleach would get a new special chapter, and here's everything you need to know about it.

BLEACH New Special Manga Chapter

As we've previously mentioned, the 20th anniversary of the Bleach manga is almost here. Of course, the community is heartbroken that there's no announcement on Bleach anime's return. But fortunately, the manga series is getting a new special chapter, which comes as good news for the manga readers.

Thanks to WSJ_Manga on Twitter, we know that the upcoming manga chapter will consist of 73 pages. Also, the chapter will release in the Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #36/37. The combined issue is set to release on August 10th, so you'll get to read the new chapter pretty soon.

Of course, it's hard to say what will be the plot of the upcoming chapter, but it's for sure that fans are really looking forward to reading it.

The original run of the Bleach manga came to an end on August 22nd, 2016, with 698 chapters collected into 74 volumes. Interestingly, with over 120 million copies sold, it is one of the best-selling manga of all time.

The series follows the journey of Ichigo Kurosaki, who protects humanity against evil spirits after becoming a Soul Reaper.

The manga series gave birth to an anime adaptation in 2004; however, despite its massive viewer base, it was canceled by the studio in 2012.

Other than that, the Bleach franchise includes several original films, video games, OVA episodes, and a live-action movie produced by Warner Bros.
