UPDATE: The Bleeding Edge release date mentioned below is true.  There was also a trailer revealed with it. Check it out below.

Even moments away from Microsoft's big XO19 presentation, the leaks seem to be unavoidable. It was already known that Ninja Theory's Bleeding Edge would be at the event, but the supposed info that would be revealed was a mystery.... until now. It looks like the Bleeding Edge release date and closed beta details have accidentally been posted prior to its reveal.

According to a Microsoft Store listing (via True Achievements) that has since been taken down, Bleeding Edge will be released on March 24, 2020. Xbox players who pre-order the team-based brawler or play it via Xbox Game Pass will receive the Punk Pack. This DLC includes skins, a hoverboard for the character Rioter, an in-game sticker pack, and three taunts. Here is all the content as listed by the article:

  • Punk Rock Nidhoggr skin
  • Butterpunk Buttercup skin
  • Outrider ZeroCool skin
  • Rioter's Hoverboard
  • "Make Your Mark" in-game sticker pack
  • Three bonus taunts

Additionally, those who pre-order or access the game through Xbox Game Pass will also have access to two closed betas. Happening just weeks before the Bleeding Edge release date, the first will be on February 14, 2020, and the second will occur on March 13, 2020. This will not only give players a chance to try Ninja Theory's new team brawler but also give the developers some useful information on how to improve the game.

Bleeding Edge was initially revealed during the Xbox press conference at E3 2019. Similarly to this series of events, the game had leaked online the day before. The trailer shown revealed much of the game's cast, as well as its 4v4 team-based combat. Compared to the developer's more known titles, like Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and DmC: Devil May Cry, this is much more cartoonish.

The Bleeding Edge release date isn't the only piece of information to leak prior to XO19. It also seems Rare and Obsidian Entertainment may be announcing some new IP during the event in London. Check back on the site for more XO19 news.
