Almost immediately following its robust run of announcements at Gamescom 2018 Bandai Namco is dipping its toe in the water of the console MMORPG market with their upcoming title Bless Unleashed. The timing of the reveal makes a lot of sense considering the company recently stated that they wanted 50% of their business to come from new IPs.

Bless Unleashed is an open world game where players can compete in PvP battles or collaborate to explore its untamed surroundings and encounter its many large, intimidating mythical beasts. The game is being created using the Unreal Engine 4 to bring the sweeping landscapes and characters to life on devices across the Xbox One family.

The title will be free-to-play concentrating on community and will feature five different character classes to choose from including "Mage" and "Berserker" with deep combo-driven combat mechanics.

Although there isn't currently a release date scheduled for Bless Unleashed, it will be arriving first on Xbox One systems.  However, players can get some hands-on time with the title when it hits the floor at PAX West next week.

You can catch a glimpse of some of Bless Unleashed monsters in the screenshots below, along with a look at its "Mage" and "Archer" characters:
