Blizzard and Capcom Bringing "Something New" to PAX East

February 28, 2013

This news comes via IGN and Polygon, each stating that Blizzard and Capcom have announced new projects, respectively, to be shown off at the upcoming PAX East event.

According to IGN, Blizzard has announced via an invitation that it “has something new to share” at the show. The invitation says they’ve been working on it, and that it’s “different from our other games.” It also specifically adds: “It’s not a sequel, expansion or that rumored next-gen MMO, but it’s something we’re excited for you to get your hands on.”

According to Polygon, Capcom announced two new games to be shown off at their World of Capcom panel, which will also include new details on Remember Me, Lost Planet 3, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, some of which will be playable on the show floor alongside Darkstalkers Resurrection.

What do you think the projects will be?  Is Blizzard moving away from MMOs? Will Capcom unveil a new Megaman game?! Will Dino Crisis make a return? Will Super Ultra Marvel VS Capcom 3 X: Gold Edition Fusion 2 Arcade Remaster be released?!

Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
