Blizzard Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics have announced today that they will be teaming up for a series of comics that detail the history of the Warcraft universe. The series will be released in multiple volumes under the name World of Warcraft: Chronicle.

World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume One is a hardcover book that will take fans through the time before the Horde and Alliance factions were ever formed. You can expect to read about the beginning of time, the rise of different ruling powers and how these historical events shaped the world of Azeroth as it is now known. Add in over 20 full-page illustrations from World of Warcraft artist Peter Lee, and this is one item Warcraft fans simply can’t miss.

“We often get questions from players who want to know more about the origins of the Warcraft universe, and the rise and fall of their favorite characters” said Paul Sams, COO of Blizzard Entertainment in an official statement. “This new series digs deeply into all of that—we can’t wait for players to read it.”

World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume One goes on sale November 4th, 2015 in comic shops and November 17th in book stores. You can also pre-order your copy online today.
