Though we may have been expecting Diablo Remastered, we got a mobile game instead. I guess that's what Blizzard meant when they told fans to temper their expectations last month. The game is called Diablo Immortal and it features online demon-slaying gameplay on an even more-portable screen.

The game takes place in-between Diablo II and Diablo III and attempts to fill in the gaps in regards to Tyrael (everyone's favorite angel).

It includes online multiplayer where players can choose to play as any of the game's six classes and traverse brand new dungeons and zones. The gameplay we got to see during the announcement featured six players playing at once, which is something we've never seen before in a Diablo game.

A demo of the game is available at BlizzCon but if you're interested in playing Diablo Immortal, you'll have to wait. No release date has been announced though we expect the game to be available on both Android and iOS.

Diablo III Eternal Collection is also available today on the Nintendo Switch. It's a slightly-bigger mobile version of the game. You can check out the gameplay trailer below.
