Senior Game Designer over at Blizzard, Matthew Place, took some time to talk about some of the new hero cards in Hearthstone's latest expansion, Knights of the Frozen Throne.

Place talks about two new hero cards in the video posted below, Malfurion the Pestilent, and Uther of the Ebon Blade.  If you don't know Uther is the Paladin hero in Hearthstone, and Malfurion is the Druid one. Their Death Knight forms change the two heroes dramatically.

When played, Malfurion the Pestilent's battlecry allows you to summon either two poisonous spiders or two scarabs with taunt. While he used to focus on more panther and bear creature cards, Malfurion now focuses on spreading plague through insect cards. His hero power has also been changed, you can either put plus three attack or plus three armor on him.

Uther also gets some dramatic new changes that make him a force to be reckoned with. His battlecry grants him a 5/3 weapon with lifesteal. He also gets plus five armor when Uther of the Ebon Blade is played on the field. Uther's new hero power allows him to summon a 2/2 horseman of the apocalypse, if you get four horsemen down on the field you automatically win the game.

Hearthstone's next expansion is set to release on August 10 and introduces over 135 new cards. The game is available now on iOS, Android, PC, and Mac.
