Celebrating ten years since the game's release back in November, Blizzard has had much cause for celebration over the wild success of World of Warcraft, and now in a surprise move, veterans of the game that have been there since day one (or extremely close to it) have a great surprise coming to their mailbox.

Users on the Blizzard forums have reported that some users have begun to receive a special gift from Blizzard themselves: a beautifully-ornate Orc statue shipped to ten-year veterans of the game who have been along for the ride since the game's debut in November 2004.

As a detailed replica of the Orc statue outside of Blizzard's headquarters in Irvine, California - a statue of an orc riding a wolf - users that were eligible to receive the gift received emails that the statue was on its way to their mailbox.

Blizzard's email mentions that eligible users must have created their World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game's launch in either the US or Europe - November 23rd, 2004 and February 11th, 2005 respectively - and maintained their subscription since then to receive the special Orc statue as a thank you for their support over the last decade.

Battle.net forums user Smitti posted several pictures of the Orc statue below, with the following message written on the underside of the statue's base:

"The orc statue is a constant presence in our life at Blizzard entertainment. It's where we meet to talk, to eat, to celebrate. As we celebrate ten years of World of Warcraft, we present this token of appreciation to you, stalwart adventurer. Thank you for being a constant presence in our lives as we adventure together."
