Blizzard's foray into the MOBA genre will officially release on June 2, 2015.

Heroes of the Storm, which has long been in an invite only state, will also get an open beta starting May 20, 2015. The game was first teased as a mod to StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty in 2010 and later announced as Heroes of the Storm in October of 2013.

With its focus on team play and fast-paced fun, Heroes of the Storm is a fresh take on a very popular genre. We’ve built Heroes of the Storm in a way that makes it accessible to new players, but also challenging enough for veterans who really want to put their skills to the test. We can’t wait to see what Heroes brings to the co-op and competitive scenes once the Nexus opens up to everyone.

Heroes of the Storm will launch with 30 playable heroes and 7 maps that span across famous Blizzard franchises such as Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo.  Blizzard will hold a livestream event on June 1 in London, United Kingdom to celebrate the launch.

Like other MOBAs you can customize your character's appearance and their mount, which is used to travel across the maps quickly. You can find the release date trailer below.
