BlizzCon 2019 Schedule Revealed, Multiple Unannounced Panels Set to Take Place

Get a look at what Blizzard has planned for BlizzCon 2019 once it starts next Friday.

BlizzCon 2019 is set to kick off next Friday on November 1 and this year’s convention is going to be interesting for a variety of reasons. Not only is the event taking place in such close proximity to Blizzard’s recent controversy involving the Hearthstone pro player Blitzchung and his banning from the esport for the next six month, but in the wake of last year’s BlizzCon which left many Blizzard fans upset, it seems like the game developer and publisher has a lot riding on its showing next week.

While we still don’t know what Blizzard has in store for BlizzCon 2019 specifically, today, the show’s schedule was officially revealed giving us a better idea of what to expect. The opening ceremony, which kicks off the weekend’s events, is set to take place on Friday beginning at 2pm EST/11am PST. It is here that we’ll likely learn about the new games that Blizzard has coming down the pipeline. Diablo 4 has been heavily rumored to make an appearance during this ceremony, as it was previously reported to have been planned to be revealed at BlizzCon 2018 before Blizzard decided not to show it at the final minute.

The opening keynote is also surely set to contain more surprises than just a potential Diablo 4 reveal, too. As seen on the official BlizzCon 2019 schedule, there are currently six panels set to take place across Friday and Saturday that have yet to be revealed. These panels will likely be related to game announcements that Blizzard won’t make until next Friday.

As for what else BlizzCon has in store, there will be a variety of other panels centered on popular Blizzard titles like World of WarcraftDiabloOverwatch, and Warcraft III. The Overwatch World Cup will also be taking place all throughout the weekend and will start on Thursday, October 31, and wrap up on Sunday, November 3.

We’ll be covering BlizzCon 2019 as it happens in real-time next week here at DualShockers, so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you’d like to check out the show’s full schedule, you can find it here.
