Focus Home interactive just broke the news: Blood Bowl 2 is officially a thing, and has been secretly in development for over a year at Cyanide Studio.

The game will have a "huge campaign mode" that will see the return of Jim Johnson the Vampire and Bob Bifford the Ogre ex-star player as commentators for the matches. Their role will be much more extensive than in the first Blood Bowl, as they won't exist just as voices, but they'll be fully modeled and animated in their "Cabalvision" TV studio that will also act as the main interface for the game.

Jim and Bob will even go as far as interviewing star players after matches, increasing the immersion that was a little lacking in the previous game.

The game has been announced as turn-based stategy (meaning that it'll probably lose the real time mode that was present in the previous game, and that no one really cared about, for obvious reason), and the only platform mentioned so far is PC. No release window has been specified yet, but further details will be revealed in the coming months.

Below you can see the first teaser trailer of the game, showing Jim and Bob in all their animated glory, and the beautiful key artwork.
