Today's Inside Xbox Presentation brought with it a lot of new titles as well as updates on existing ones. Chief among those already known games is Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, the next entry in the long-running RPG series, which is now coming to the Xbox Series X.

The game's journey so far has been a shaky one. Originally announced in March 2019, Bloodlines 2 was supposed to launch in the first quarter of this year. However, after it was made apparent that it wouldn't be ready by that time, the game was delayed with the vague launch date of "some time in 2020." Now that the game is coming to next-gen consoles, it's looking more likely that Bloodlines 2 may be releasing around the holiday season.

All that being said, today's trailer did give us a good look at some more of the game. Fans of Bloodlines 1, which released way back in 2004, may have been craving the feeling of walking around the city as a hidden apex predator. This trailer gave us a taste of what that will be like in Bloodlines 2, along with some of the supernatural abilities that vampires will have at their arsenal.

If walking around a city isn't really your style, you'll have more movement options available to you. In the trailer we see player characters climbing up apartment buildings and leaping from rooftop to rooftop. We also got a taste of vampire's supernatural abilities, like the tamer telekinesis to summoning swarms of bats around enemies or surging energy in the earth to send foes flying.

What the trailer severely lacked was a release date. Again, the game has been delayed but is supposed to come out sometime this year. With Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 now appearing on the Xbox Series X, it's seeming more likely that the date could be creeping further and further toward the end of this year.
