Despite only being announced during last weeks New Game+ Expo, Inti Creates Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 has already got a release date, and it's less than two weeks away.

Announced through the "official second trailer" on Inti Creates YouTube channel - Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is being released for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Steam on July 10th and will be available as a digital download only.

The trailer starts by revisiting the characters you'll be playing in the follow up to 2018's Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - Zangatsu who's returning from the original, Dominique who's coming across from Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Robert and Haichi. The video then reveals for the first time that some "allies from the past" will be appearing including those from the original Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - Miriam, Alfred, and Gebel bringing the total number of playable characters to seven, up from four in the original.

The video and description also continue to push the fact that the game can be played through both solo or cooperatively ending with some co-op gameplay and stating "With the inclusion of a two player co-op mode, friends can take the battle against demonkind to new heights. Combine the abilities of different characters and create a near limitless amount of new ways to traverse stages and defeat tough bosses."

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, which is being supervised by Koji Igarashi who's best known for his work on the Castlevania series, isn't the only game announced by developer Inti Creates over the last few days, with the studio confirming Azure Striker GUNVOLT 3 is now in development.

It's a surprise that Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2's release date is so soon, however with the success that the first game achieved, it's no surprise that it's due out so quickly and it's definitely one to keep an eye out for next month.
