Earlier this morning, Inti Creates and Artplay announced Castleva... ahem... Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, an 8-bit spin-off game born from Koji Igarashi's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Following the announcement, the publisher released a large batch of screenshots providing another look at the nostalgic game.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's Kickstarter campaign promised a retro-style 8-bit game as a stretch goal, and this is that game.

We get to see the four main characters in action, Miriam, Zangetsu, Alfred, and Gebel, in environments that definitely feel familiar.

You can check them out below, and if you want to see more, you can also enjoy the original announcement and more info on the game.

The game will be released on May 24th 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PS Vita, and PC via Steam, but those who backed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night at the $28 tier or higher will get it for free.
