After years of anticipation, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has finally released today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC with its arrival on Switch coming next week. While this news is certainly exciting on its own for many, 505 Games has today released the launch trailer for Bloodstained which shows what future content will be headed to the game.

Today's new launch trailer that begins with Bloodstained's creator Koji Igarashi seemingly torturing a person that is meant to symbolize Konami, which is pretty hilarious. Igarashi mentions that Bloodstained is twice as big as his last game and will also be offering 13 pieces of DLC post-launch for free. The rest of the trailer then kicks off and shows off many of the upcoming DLC additions such as New Game+, Classic Mode, and Boss Rush Mode among others.

Likely most notable of all post-launch additions to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night though is that Shovel Knight will seemingly be the game's final playable character. Yes, Yacht Club's iconic shovel-wielding hero will join Zangetsu, a previously announced playable character that is coming to Bloodstained, at some point in the future. 505 Games didn't indicate when Shovel Knight will be coming to Ritual of the Night, but we do see a few brief moments of gameplay showing off the character and he looks pretty fantastic. Personally, I love how Shovel Knight's design has been altered to fit the style of Bloodstained.
