Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s Kickstarter Surpasses All Stretch Goals in 24 Hours

Yesterday Koji Igarashi and Inti Creates launched a Kickstarter to fund their Castlevania inspired PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux adventure game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

The initial stretch goal was $500,000, but by close of business yesterday the campaign had already raised more than $1,000,000, securing a hardcover art book bonus (for backers of at least $150), a second playable character, a Nightmare difficulty setting, voice acting by David Hayter and support for cheat codes.

At the time of this writing, the total amount of money pledged is $1,459,256. This is much more than even the last listed stretch goal, which added local co-operative multiplayer at $1,250,000. The developers will definitely have to come up with some additional stretch goals to spend that extra money on; maybe a third playable character? Or maybe more consoles – this could rock on PS Vita.

With 31 days until the end of the campaign, there’s really no telling how big this could get. It appears that the demand for quality title of this kind is definitely there. If you haven’t yet, learn more about Bloodstained and pledge your support at the Kickstarter page.
