Written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, Blue Lock is a popular Japanese manga series. Kodansha serialized the manga back in August 2018, and since then, it has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide.

Undoubtedly, Blue Lock is one of the best-written sports manga of all time, and that's why the entire community was waiting for its anime adaptation. Well, the wait is finally over because the Blue Lock anime adaptation is officially confirmed, and here's everything you need to know about it.

Blue Lock Anime Announced

Recently, the official website for Blue Lock confirmed that the anime adaptation is in production and is scheduled to release sometime in 2022.

The announcement stated that Eight Bit animation studio is taking on this project under the direction of Tetsuaki Watanabe. It's the same animation studio that has given us That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Interestingly, the first teaser visual of Blue Lock anime is also out. You can see all the main characters in the key visual:

Besides the new key visual, the creators also released a 1 minute 18 seconds long trailer for the anime. Honestly, every frame of the first trailer looks like art, and that's enough to get us excited for the anime. The trailer flaunts some characters showcasing their skills on the soccer field.

Finally, Eight Bit animation studio also revealed the cast of the upcoming anime adaptation:

We still don't have an exact release date for the anime, but after several leaks and rumors, it's now finally official that we'll get the Blue Lock anime next year.
