Bandai Namco announced the Blue Protocol Closed Beta Test has been delayed. What's pretty shocking is how this announcement came around literally one minute before the Closed Beta was supposed to start. The Blue Protocol Closed Beta was supposed to launch April 23 at 19:00 JST, and the official twitter account announced the postponement at 18:59. As such, many Japanese players are pretty irritated with the situation, though you can find many comprehensive and supportive tweets too. As some pointed out, the game's development team definitely kept working until the last minute trying to fix the problem, until they realized they couldn't make it in time.

The tweet states that a problem was found which hinders the launch of the CBT, and that a new date will be announced soon.

The development team is still working right now on the problem. Later on at 20:00 JST, the staff released more updates on the situation. As for now the CBT isn't live, but it might be in the next few hours. We'll keep you updated on the situation.

PC online action RPG Blue Protocol was for now only announced in Japan, but the development team pretty much said in the past it's only a matter of time until it's announced in the west. For now, they focus on finishing the game itself.

You can read much more Blue Protocol and check out some gameplay with our past coverage: We most notably translated multiple questions the devs answered about the game here and here. In particular, they touched upon how Blue Protocol seemingly has an OST by Hiroyuki Sawano.  "Seemingly" because while it reeks of his style, they cannot officially confirm it yet for various reasons.

Update: After multiple updates every 30 minutes, the Blue Protocol Twitter stated the CBT will begin at 21:00 JST, in around ten minutes as I'm writing this. Glad to know the team was able to fix the problem.
