We're almost there folks. After waiting months and months for a new map update in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode, we're only one week away from the game's next season, which is set to bring just what fans have been clamoring for. Now, developer Treyarch has started teasing the update in a brand new image released earlier today. The picture features a large number of red markers all around the Blackout map, with a big "X" located at the bottom of the map, near Turbine. As of right now, fans have no idea what map will be added, however, I'd love to see Buried from Black Ops 2 be added and given the fact that fans have been finding items near the area, including a sign from Buried, I'd say that that's a fair conclusion.Of course, there's no telling what's going to be added to the smaller markers, however, if you go into the game right now, you'll find small sticks with ribbons hanging off them in-game everywhere there's a red marker on the map. If all those areas do indeed signify where an area will be added, then this update is shaping up the be the biggest by a country mile. It's worth noting that all of the areas marked are simple houses, trailers, etc. so I wouldn't expect major changes. That being said, any change is a good change at this point. If you want to check out the map for yourself and see if you can guess what's going where you can find the tweet at the end of the article. For those that don't know, Treyarch's last map update for the battle royale mode added Hijacked to the game, a map from Black Ops 2, as well as....actually that's about it.This is the first technically isn't the first official time that Treyarch has teased the mode, as a few weeks back, David Vonderhaar revealed that new content would be coming during the next season of content.Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
