Bombing Busters Experienced Name Change When Coming to PlayStation 4

on September 13, 2015 1:37 PM

Originally released as Bombing Bastard on the Wii U eShop in July 2014, and later as the same name on Steam, Sanuk Games has changed the name to Bombing Busters for the upcoming PlayStation 4 release. The announcement, via Eurogamer, came on request of Sony, who did not want “Bombing Bastards” advertised on their site/storefront. Instead the game will release this Tuesday as Bombing Busters, while the rest of the game largely remains the same.

As Eurogamer also points out, the name change for a “bastard” title also occurred with Stealth Inc. A Clone in the Dark, which originally released on PC as Stealth Bastard but was changed due to being, “too rude.” Bombing Bastard itself is a single, or multiplayer, game in which the player must blast their way through various mazes.
