Borderlands 3 has been out in the wild for just over a week now. The game is doing well in nearly every regard and developer Gearbox is looking to keep that hype train rolling with their latest announcement. On the first episode of The Borderlands Show, the team detailed the first event coming to the game next month. Bloody Harvest is bringing the spooks to Sanctuary very soon.

Once the event kicks off, players will begin to find Haunted enemies all over the map. Killing them will help you open up the event-specific map; however, their corpses will also release ghosts, which can give you a deliciously evil debuff called Terror. You'll also be collecting Hecktoplasm from these enemies, which you can turn into a new vendor that's taken up space on Sanctuary III.

When you open up the new map, you'll be greeted by all kinds of scary enemies. The Borderlands Show gave us a look at the winged Rakk-O'-Lanterns and other Maliwan goons. At the end of the map is the skeletal remains of Captain Haunt (former known as Captain Traunt). He's back with new powers that are sure to give players a fright.

Bloody Harvest will reward players with several new cosmetic awards and the team is dropping new legendary loot for Vault Hunters to farm. These new items will play into the new Terror mechanic, giving you a chance to turn the tables back on those haunting villains.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you'd like to watch the full Bloody Harvest reveal, check out the video below.
