Borderlands 3 released in September with positive reviews and commercial success with being one of the highest-selling titles this year. The game has continuously received ongoing updates like weekly balancing patches as well as the current Bloody Harvest event that players can enjoy until December 5th. Today, however, Gearbox has teased that information regarding the first DLC campaign is on the horizon.

The developer released the news through a short thirty-second video featuring the iconic Borderlands villain Handsome Jack as a hologram. The teaser did not feature any voice lines from Jack, but it does heavily tug at the idea that he will be making a return in some way or another. Details regarding the new DLC campaign will be shown during "The Borderlands Show" Wednesday, November 20 at 8 am PST.

This will be the first of four announced DLC campaigns for Borderlands 3. Gearbox showed a roadmap of everything leading up to the first campaign during PAX West including the Maliwan Takedown event which will be available to play starting November 21. That being said I suspect that the new campaign will release sometime in December making it so that one batch of additional content releases every month until the end of the year, but that is only a theory.

While I had my gripes with the direction Borderlands 3 went with its story and characters, it is still one of my favorite titles this year and I'm looking forward to where Gearbox is going to take us next, especially if Handsome Jack is still in the picture. If you have yet to get your own copy of the game you can purchase it on Amazon.
