Now that the Director's Cut DLC is finally out for Borderlands 3, fans are scouring the game for all the new additions.

One of most interesting new changes to the base version of Borderlands 3 with the new Director's Cut DLC is the addition of the Diamond Key and Armory.

The Diamond Keys aren't acquired the same way that the millions of individual guns and other items are throughout the game, so it makes sense that some people are a little confused.

Here's a Borderlands 3 guide on how to get diamond keys.

Borderlands 3 How to Get Diamond Key

Even though you don't get Diamond Keys like you get every other item in the game, acquiring them is pretty simple. To get them, you're going to need to make sure that you have

Once you have the DLC working, you should notice a new progression bar in the lower left corner of the screen just underneath the regular XP bar. That is a part of the new progression model included in the Director's Cut called the Vault Cards. Leveling up Vault Cards nets the Diamond Key.

Leveling up the Vault Card is really simple: you level it up in the exact same way as you level up your XP bar. Complete quests, discover locations, and kill high-level enemies to fill your XP and Vault Card bars. Once you've completely filled it, you can choose from various rewards including new guns, gear, and Diamond Keys.
