Borderlands 3 is finally fixing arguably the biggest complaint that fans of the series have always critiqued its co-op mode of: shared loot. If you don't already know, when playing with other players, whether they be friends or randoms, all the loot is dropped is picked up on a first come basis. Whoever gets the loot first is the only one who has it. Well, no more.

Matt Cox, the Lead Boss Designer for Borderlands 3, went to Twitter today to say shared loot will only be an option. You can change it so that all items and weapons that you see dropped is your own personal loot according to the PlayStation Blog. Included in this blog post are story elements, changes, and additions made to the different weapon brands that the series is known for.

Gearbox will be debuting gameplay for Borderlands 3 on May 1. The game is now available for pre-order including numerous different editions to choose from including items like a Steelbook case, Season Pass, and more depending on what edition you end up getting.

Also, do not forget about Borderlands GOTY Edition that just came out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. A complete remaster of the original Borderlands game that includes new features. In addition, there's a new 4K UHD pack that came out for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection which includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Basically, you have a whole lot of Borderlands that you can play leading up the newest entry in the series.

Borderlands 3 is set to release on September 13, 2019, on Xbox One, PS4, and PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store.
