Borderlands 3 Pre-Loading to be Available on PC via Epic Games Store After All
Turns out that PC players of Borderlands 3 will be able to download the game 48 hours prior to launch.
Despite previously stating that pre-loading for Borderlands 3 wouldn’t be available for PC players prior to launch, it turns out that the functionality on the Epic Games Store will in fact be present ahead of release.
In a new press release sent out by 2K Games today, the unlock times for Borderlands 3 in each region around the world were disclosed. In addition, it was said that all players who have already purchased the game whether it be on Xbox One, PS4, or even PC, would be able to start downloading the game 48 hours prior to when it unlocks.
This marks the first time that a game launching on the Epic Games Store will allow pre-loading functionality. While it’s still not certain if this new feature of the storefront will extend to all future releases, it’s surely a relief for those trying to get their hands on Borderlands 3 next week at the earlier possible time.
