Fans of the Borderlands series have patiently been waiting for a new installment in the series for several years now, Borderlands 3 seems like it will be exactly the sequel that we've been waiting for. With Borderlands 3 just about a month out from release, you can now take a look for yourself at what to expect from this long-awaited sequel.

At a preview event last week, we had the chance to get hands-on gameplay time with Borderlands 3, starting with the game's intro and then moving on to a later segment of the game around level 22-23. During the intro segment, we got to play as FL4K the Beastmaster, who is the last Vault Hunter to have been introduced in the game's recent character trailers. We also got some hands-on time with later portions of the game with Zane and Amara to get a better feel for how (most of) the new Vault Hunters feel and play.

Borderlands 3 will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13, 2019, and you can pre-order the game now over on Amazon. The game will also be coming to Google Stadia when it releases later this year.

For more on the game, you can read our recent hands-on preview of the campaign or read our full interview with the game's co-writers, Danny Homan and Sam Winkler, to hear more on the game's story, characters, and what lies ahead for the series as a whole.
