Borderlands 3 is Getting a Second Season Pass with New DLC in November

A new Season Pass for Borderlands 3 is coming next month that will introduce new DLC, such as a Director's Cut and Vault Hunter cosmetics.

After its release last year, Borderlands 3 has continued to grow even bigger with the release of four DLC expansions through its first Season Pass. While the game’s series of story expansions have now come to an end, Gearbox seems to have plenty more in store with more DLC on the way in the near future.

Gearbox Software has announced that a second Season Pass will be coming to Borderlands 3 featuring new content and add-ons for the game. Available on November 10, 2020 for both the current and next-gen versions of the game, Season Pass 2 will introduce new cosmetics and features for the looter-shooter title that seem to be focused on new modes, with the first wave of content to debut next month.

According to Gearbox, Season Pass 2 will introduce the Designer’s Cut in November, which is a new version of Borderlands 3 that features “totally new ways to play,” an additional Skill Tree for each of the game’s 4 Vault Hunters, and a brand new mode called Arms Race. The Season Pass will also feature the Director’s Cut, which also will likely introduce more new content with its release in spring 2021. Additional cosmetics and “brand new looks” for the Vault Hunters will also be added through the new Season Pass in the future.

Recently it was confirmed by Gearbox that Borderlands 3 will offer a free next-gen upgrade for owners of the game on current-gen systems, which will arrive day and date with the PS5 and Xbox Series X/Series S. This will put Gearbox’s title right in line as a launch title for the next-gen consoles and will allow players to continue leveling up and grabbing new gear, while having new content to look forward to with the next Season Pass.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC, and will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/Series S at launch with a free next-gen upgrade.
