With Borderlands 3 due out in just about one month, the finer details of the game are finally starting to come about.

Recently, when speaking to PlayStation Blog, Gearbox confirmed some of the graphical capabilities of Borderlands 3 for those looking to play on PS4. Specifically, for those that have the higher-end PS4 Pro, Borderlands 3 has been verified to run at 4K. It will also boast HDR, which isn't too big of a shock.

If you're playing Borderlands 3 on PS4 Pro, you'll be able to utilize two different graphical modes. One of these, modes will favor the game's performance, will which bring the resolution down but increase the frames per second. On the other hand, the mode that favors resolution will lock the frames at 30fps and will increase the resolution. If you've played any games on PS4 Pro in the past, this is pretty standard.

Gearbox did offer an additional mention for those with 1080p TVs, though. "One interesting note is that when favoring resolution on a TV that only supports 1080p, the game will supersample from the higher resolution using the console’s hardware. Because of this, the 1080p output will look sharper in this mode than it normally would, again thanks to the power of the PS4 Pro," Gearbox said.

Now, for those who might be wondering just how Borderlands 3 might play on Microsoft's Xbox One X, well, those details were already confirmed awhile back. The game will indeed support 4K as well on this platform. Meanwhile, those on PC will be able to get the most out of the Borderlands 3 experience assuming you have a powerful enough rig.

Borderlands 3 is right around the corner and will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13.
