The wait is over for Borderlands fans who just want the software without the trip to the store. Gearbox Software and 2K Games today announced that fans waiting to pre-order a digital copy of Borderlands 2 are now able to do so. Fans who order a digital copy will still have access to the Borderlands 2 Premier Club, granting access to the Mechromancer character as well as the golden key and a number of other benefits.

To go with the Digital Pre-order announcement, anyone who wants to catch up on the original will be able to purchase Borderlands 1 and all DLC for 75% off until the 30th. Fans interested in this deal will be able to find it at any participating distributor, including Amazon and Steam. Borderlands 2 is nigh upon us, folks. Anyone who wants to catch up before it hits should make use of the opportunity.
