With Borderlands 2 set to release this week on PS Vita, why not watch some hilarious short films set in the kooky Borderlands universe to go along with it?

Publisher 2K Games announced today that three Borderlands short films, all part of the new "Tales from the HQ" series, have been released and are all available to watch now through Machinima's channel on YouTube. All three of the short films were produced by students from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in collaboration with 2K Games and Gearbox Software, and were also heavily featured in the recently-released documentary, The Art of the Game. As part of a collaborate project, The Borderlands Cooperative, a group of students were tasked with creating an original Borderlands short, with the resulting prize being an internship opportunity at 2K Games.

The three included films are "The Darkest Day" (Dir. Xandra Zapanta), "Loose Cannon Claptrap" (Dir. Bradford Hillam), and the winning entry of the project, "Bride of Frankentrap" (Dir. Leslie Harwood). You can check out all three of the selected short films from The Borderlands Cooperative below, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the development of each in the full documentary, The Art of the Game.
