It was said there wouldn’t be a Borderlands 3, of course no one mentioned a Borderlands 1.5.

Game Points Now is reporting that the latest installment in the series will be Borderlands the Pre-Sequel. Set on the moon, the game will take place during the five years in between the first two games.

Developed by 2K Australia this will be the first game in the trilogy not made by Gearbox.

Players will battle to stay alive in the hostile environment as they compete against the other frightful residents for precious oxygen. Something that can be looted from your enemies using OX-Kits.

“The game sees Handsome Jack in the days when he was just a humble programmer called John, hunting a powerful alien artifact (what else!!). Players will be able to select one of Jack/Johns four lieutenants to play as in Athena The Gladiator, Wilhelm The Enforcer, Nisha The Lawbringer and Fragtrap.”

Why Ratchet & Clank is the Most Important PS5 Game

The game hasn’t officially been announced and there has been no release date set, though it is reportedly set for sometime this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
