In the recent Boruto episode, we saw Naruto’s intense fight with Jigen. However, most fans might have missed that a particular section of the episode was a homage to Naruto and Sasuke’s fight from the original Naruto anime series.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a sequel to the Naruto series that focuses majorly on the next generation of Shinobis, including Naruto, Kawaki, Sarada, and many more.
However, the series doesn’t shy away from putting characters from the original series in the spotlight. For instance, the latest Boruto episode was mainly about Naruto overwhelming his opponent. On top of that, the episode is a delight for fans who loves spotting easter eggs from the original Naruto series.

Boruto’s Latest Episode Pays Homage To Norio Matsumoto
The entire anime community is in awe after watching Naruto’s Baryon mode getting animated. Every frame of episode 217 was nothing short of spectacular. What’s even more intriguing is that one fight sequence in the episode referenced Naruto and Sasuke’s fight from episode 133 of the original show.

Norio Matsumoto worked on the fight’s animation, and it is close to every Naruto fan’s heart. That’s why watching Naruto and Jigen’s fight animation in Boruto episode 217 felt familiar to several fans.
Every Boruto fan was eager to watch Naruto’s Baryon mode in action against one of the most vigorous opponents. And to be honest, the studio didn’t disappoint and gave us a great episode, unarguably the best Boruto episode so far.
