Like it or hate it, you have to give Braid credit for being a rather addictive platformer with an old-school feel, even though it may have had a few unique mechanics here and there.  The man behind Braid, Jonathan Blow, has been plugging along on a new title recently, and just today some details about the game have been released, along with some concept art.

The game will be titled The Witness, and seems to be a departure from the 2D world of Braid by placing the player in a 3D environment, instead.  That environment is a deserted island. (I know what you're wondering, is there a smoke monster?  I doubt it.)  Braid did challenge me in more ways than one, even if I wasn't balls-to-the-wall crazy about it like everyone else.  Here's hoping The Witness does the same thing and causes me to stretch my gray matter in ways that are unusual, that would be the draw for me.  How about everyone else?
