Brave Neptunia Announced as First in the Series to be Developed by Western Studio
Compile Heart reveals a new entry in the Neptunia series title Brave Neptunia, however, developed by the western studio Artisan Studios
Compile Heart announced a new entry in the Neptunia series as Yuusha Neptune or Brave Neptunia, which is currently labeled as a tentative title.
However, unlike previous entries in the series, Brave Neptunia will be developed by Artisan Studios, who is based in Quebec. The studio’s last title was Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey which featured 2D RPG gameplay and animated visuals for the iOS, and was announced for PS Vita and PS4 in 2016, but has yet to release on either console.
Looking through the studio’s website it’s evident that Brave Neptunia will also be a 2D RPG set in the Neptunia universe. Furthermore, the studio has not yet confirmed which console they will be developing the title for, but the team stated that it will be for next-gen consoles so we can rest assured that it won’t be an exclusive mobile title.
Additionally, Artisan Studios released an interview trailer where Artisan Studio CEO Mario Rizzo lets fans know that their team understands the world of Neptunia, “Gamindustri”, well and they are excited to bring the game to fans.
The video also shows very small clips of gameplay that feature series protagonist Neptune in a 2D environment. However, the battle system or story direction were not discussed.
