Well past this old man's bedtime last night, Nintendo dropped the Bravely Default 2 demo onto the Nintendo Switch. As you'd expect, it gives you just a taste of Claytechworks' upcoming RPG. And, if the first demo is anything to go by, this is going to be quite good. In this final demo, players will get a better look at the first main chapter in the game. Check out The #BravelyDefault II Final Demo is here to give you a taste of the vivid art, strategic battle system, and memorable music of the game's first main chapter. Download it

Now, here's where I have come clean. I've yet to play a Bravely Default title. Sure, I purchased the first one back on the 3DS, but it still sits on the pile of shame that is my backlog. However, I've always admired them from afar. That mostly comes down to the art style and soundtrack being phenomenal, but it remains a series I want to find time for.
Bravely Default 2 represents a potential new jumping-on point for me. It's a completely new world, which hopefully means I wouldn't be lost hopping in. Of course, I'd assume there will be references, but I think I'll be fine. If you're in my same boat, it's probably worth giving the demo a download to see if this game is for you.
Bravely Default 2 comes to Nintendo Switch on February 26. The final demo is available now, but it doesn't look like it will go away. And, if you download it before launch day, you can score yourself a few extra My Nintendo Platinum Points. It will put you a fourth of the way toward some Pikmin 3 Deluxe coasters.
